Friends of Lincoln Square Park
Capital Campaign
Learn more on what Wa Sung is doing to continue our legacy in Lincoln Square Park:
For the past 5 years, FOLSP was formed with the vision for a city-community project to replace the existing and build a new and much needed larger Lincoln Square Recreation Center. Currently, architect designs reflect plans of a 2 story, 3x its existing size with a rooftop garden area and a resiliency center.
The overall cost for this project is projected to be $40 million. Half of the amount has been received so far through state, local and individual donors thus a capital campaign project is needed to add to complete the project. They are not a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Wa Sung is Proud to be the Fiscal Sponsor of the Capital Campaign
Wa Sung has 70 years as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and we strive to promote educational and community services.
Friends of Lincoln Square Park (FOLSP) asked the Wa Sung Community Service Club to be the Fiscal Sponsor for the capital campaign project. They felt that Wa Sung’s mission statement, community history success, involvement with Lincoln Square Park (ex. junk boat establishment, Easter Pancake Breakfast, and community events) and being a 501(c)(3) status makes the perfect Fiscal Sponsor.
As a Fiscal Sponsor to the Friends of Lincoln Square Park’s capital campaign project for the new Lincoln Square Recreation Center, Wa Sung will assume the Fiscal Sponsor responsibilities and was Board approved.
